Finishing things up on Zabanya. I'm starting to run out of stuff to do until I get some option parts and paint. Got the shoulder bits near completion and the only major task left is to add some guns to the shield bits on the back.

New Desk!
I got a new desk today. Used to work on a small computer table that I kept banging my knees into so it's nice have something more comfortable. Not only that but it has a lot of space.
I know what you must be thinking "Is that real marble?" and before you go thinking that I drove down to my nearest quarry and picked up a slab I have to say that it is not. But instead, it is hand crafted to look like marble and it's the thought that counts.

A few Holiday purchases
Well with all of the stores have having great gunpla sales I had to take advantage of it while I could. So I got the HGUC Delta Plus for a pretty reasonable price. I also ordered some decals for the Zabanya model from Samuel Decals. I'm sure I'll make another post once I get them.

Zabanya Saga Wip Chapter 3
PREVIOUS CHAPTER
I started working on the two parts I have been dreading the most. The head and the shoulder shileds. I was worried about the head because of how small the parts are (that is not what she said) and when I say shoulder shields I am referring to what the the Cherudim Saga had on it's left shoulder. For Zabanya Saga I knew I wanted to do something similar to the shield on the Cher. Saga's shoulder but I didn't know what. I think I came up with a pretty cool solution. I still have a lot more work to do on the shoulder shields but below is my basic idea.
I also added some pla to the chest pieces and the arms for some more detail. There is also quite a bit left to do on the shoulders to fit the shields. The last thing there is the plate that goes on the back. I thought is was lacking some depth and since I'm going to add aftermarket thrusters I decided to file down the thruster it came with and glued it on. Just as good as a minus mold.
Shortly I'll be ordering my paints and getting ready to prime. I can't wait to have it finished!

G-System Shop
Link:....G-System Shop ....
Recently came across this site via Matt Tomczeks's Blog and they have some really cool stuff. They make resin kits so they are a bit different from your regular run of the mill models. One notable thing about their products is their size. 1/60 and 1/72 scale are large as is but some of their 1/35 scales are almost 4 feet tall! Those are huge kits with an equally huge price tag. I haven't picked up a model from them yet, but I did order some metal beads for my current builds from them. Just wanted to post some images of some of their awesome products.

Zabanya Saga Wip Chapter 2

I did a lot of relaxing yesterday and was able to make a decent amount of progress on the model. Got the pieces under the shoulder pretty much finished added some other random pla plates on some other parts.
As you can see, I added the sides on to these pieces after I shortened them a bit. I made the sides long so that I'd be able to trim them down and smooth the edge, but I like the way they look longer then the rest of the piece so I decided to keep them as such.
Afterwords, I added another piece of pla to fill in the void on top. Then after some filing and sanding I got these.
Here I added some pla on the front skirts like I did with the back. They were lookin kinda flat and I wanted add some depth to them.
I also shaved some off the "toe claws" cause I wasn't really liking them. I still need to do some more modding to them but for now this enough. I also sanded down the top rear thruster so I could add some after mark rockets or what have you.
Lastly, I wanted to assemble the majority of the parts to check out what it will look like.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I'd like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving, at least to everyone in the states :)
With Christmas right around the corner, I thought I'd share some of the models that Santa may be bringing me this year.
First we have the:
HGUC 1/144 Ex-S
The suits from Sentinel have always been my favorite so it will be exciting to finally get my hands on one.
Then there's:
HGUC 1/144 RX-0 Unicorn (Destroy Mode)
The Unicorn series has been out for awhile now and I thought it was time to finally get one. I'm also going to get the Sinanju and some others later on too. The suits from this series are all so cool it's hard to pick and chose which one's to get.
Lastly:
MG MSZ-006 A1 Zeta Plus
I've been wanting a Zeta model for awhile now and I decided on this one despite it being an older model and having less articulation. I'd like to mod this up and possibly rework the joints to help it's articulation. I thought it would be a great model for some practice. I'm sure I'll be getting another Zeta in the future too so it will be cool to have this one if I have any major screw ups or need parts.
Well that's all, Happy Holidays!

Zabanya Saga Wip Chapter 1
PREVIOUS CHAPTER
Here is some more progress with what I'm calling "Zabanya Saga."
Wanted to extend the piece on the outside of the arm that attaches under the shoulder. I ended up making it too long, but that's an easy fix. I started with marking the outline of the shoulder piece so not to interfere with it.
I added a long piece of pla plate to the little edge there and then added a shorter piece under it to thicken it. Add this is what you can do if you don't have any clamps :)
And there you have it. Or... well most of it. I'm going to add some sides to it after I shorten the piece. I also might fill in the under side of it.
I also was working on the chest plate piece. One difference the Cherudim Saga had from the regular Cherudim was a thicker chest piece. So for my Saga version I wanted to thicken it as well. It was a pretty easy process. I took three rectangular pieces of .75mm pla plate glued them on and then filed the unwanted parts off. It still needs some work, but it's pretty much done. Then I added the little chest sensor on top to see what it will look like.
Other than that, I thought about some additions to the shoulders. I'm thinking of adding some pla plate to it and possibly making them capable of carrying some shield bits. Anyway, this is the rough start of the design.
